Who we serve
Who we are

PrimeSnowRemoval, dedicated to Squaw Valley, California

We are not a summer lawn crew moonlighting. Snow ops are our specialty. That focus means our fleet stay trained. Each route lead carries contact lists and walks your site before storms hit.

Protection stays current. We carry strong coverage, run background checks, and refresh checklists after every major event so optimizations show up the next time it snows.

We promise to communicate with clarity. Rely on pre-storm notices, during-storm updates, and post-storm proof. You never wonder what is happening outside.

Plowing

Smart sequence

Main arteries go first, followed by docks, priority spaces, and overflow areas. We blade carefully to keep drains open.

De-icing

Right melt, right time

Anti-ice before accumulation, then salt by traffic volume. Concrete-safe options protect pavers while keeping traction high.

Sidewalk detail

Pedestrian safety

Foot crews brush to full width, treat stairs and ramps, unblock hydrants, and protect railings and drains.

Snow relocation

Visibility preserved

When space shrinks, we push back to approved stack points so parking counts stay open.

Ice watch

Refreeze defense

Post-storm sweeps identify black ice and retreat with the right material.

Reporting

Proof every time

GPS logs accompany each visit. Owners get clear proof for insurance.

Your guests deserve dry steps. We make that happen with tidy workmanship across Squaw Valley, California.

Process

How we run winter ops in Squaw Valley, California

Step one: prep: site walks, priority notes, material tests. Step two: staging: brine set close by. 3) Launch: routes roll before trigger depth, hitting front entries first. Step four: passes: clear, brush, melt. 5) Post-storm sweep: reshape piles. 6) Report: photos sent to you.

If weather shifts, we resequence. Supervisors extend sidewalk teams to keep docks open. Your priorities guides every change.

Documentation stays constant. Receive dashboard links before, during, and after. Those records satisfy insurers while keeping everyone aligned.

Risk control

Safety first

Slip claims hurt morale and budgets. We place piles wisely so drivers move confidently. Edges stay brushed for pedestrians who rely on your site.

Sustainability

Heavy melt hurts stone. We calibrate every spreader and choose melts that fit traffic. Pet-friendly options are available whenever needed.

Deep dive

More detail on how we serve Squaw Valley, California

Every parking lot in Squaw Valley, California has specific drainage. We note how snow drifts on your site and modify routes to fit. That history lives with your account so new drivers follow it.

Back entrances turn slick without attention. Our teams chop compacted snow before salting to prevent sheet ice. Bumpers get shielded so freight keeps moving.

Courtyards see steady foot traffic. We design primary loops, assign sidewalk crews, and re-walk after visiting hours. Handrails receive detail passes to keep people sure-footed.

Fleet matching prevents noise. Tight lots get compact plows while long drives get loaders. This matching protects curbs.

Training stays active. Between storms crews drill blade angles. We refine so each next storm runs smoother.

Alignment matters. Share your access notes. Want staged timing? We design for it so ice control supports your culture instead of interrupting it.

By 1942, Wayne Poulsen, a former star skier from the University of Nevada, had acquired 2,000 acres (810 ha) in the valley from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Poulsen met Alex Cushing, a Harvard University-trained lawyer, in 1946 while Cushing was vacationing at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. During his vacation, Cushing toured the valley at Poulsen's invitation and decided to invest in building a ski resort there. Unlike Poulsen, Cushing had the political connections and access to the capital necessary to create a ski resort. In June 1948, the two founded the Squaw Valley Development Company and Cushing replaced Poulsen as president of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation by October 1949. Squaw Valley Ski Resort opened on Thanksgiving Day 1949. The resort was constructed with $400,000 raised by Cushing, including $150,000 of his own money. The creation of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation and Squaw Valley Ski Resort mark the modern era of the valley.
